The 96th Usermeeting – a future-oriented event
Despite high temperatures, numerous representatives of the financial sector met again last Wednesday, 26th June 2019, for the 96th Usermeeting to discuss the latest topics.
The event was opened by Mr. Armin Gerhardt, CEO of EFiS AG. After the introductory speech, he discussed the latest changes within the company structure. In the future, EFiS AG will concentrate again on its initial form and be there for its customers and partners together with its sister company, ABK Systeme GmbH.
Mr. Gerhardt then introduced Dr. Carsten Lehr as a new member of the Management Board. He will join EFiS AG as Deputy CEO on 1st July 2019. Among other things, Dr. Lehr will be responsible for Finance and Human Resources.
The next speaker was Stefanie Stadtmüller from the Deutsche Bundesbank. Her topic was the current developments in TIPS and the TARGET2/T2S consolidation, which are currently keeping the financial sector in suspense. BigBang day will be November 20/21, 2021.
Mr. Armin Gerhardt gave a review on the successful migration to the targens product TCM4.6. He explained the advantages of the new version and how the first days with the new version turned out.
Melanie Adler, who has been studying at ABK Systeme GmbH for a year now, had her debut. She very impressively introduced the term GAAFA, how these Big 5 (Google, Amazon, Apple, Facebook and AliPay) differ from each other and, above all, what these services mean for Generation Z. She also explained the differences between the Big 5 (Google, Amazon, Apple, Facebook and AliPay).
After the lunch break there was no sign of tiredness. Mr. Andreas Pratz of PwC Strategy& (Germany) GmbH showed the current trends in payment transactions and, according to surveys, where future milestones will be set. The different reactions of European consumers to mobile payments were clearly visible.
After an ice-cream break, which brought some cooling down and offered more space for networking, Marco Venturella and Armin Gerhardt from EFiS AG presented their impressions of the past GS1 practice day, which was dealing with the topic “electronic invoice”.
In summary it was a very future-oriented event with many new impressions and opinions. We thank all participants who contributed to the success of the day and look forward to the next Usermeeting on 10th September 2019 in Dreieich.
