The event was opened by Mr. Uwe Klatt (Paymentgroup International) with market information on the TIPS test phase, which runs since 10th December 2018, as well as GPI. He also commented on the holding company and other events such as the payments week on GPI certification, that will take place next year from 2nd until 3rd April 2019.
The first presentation was given by Mr. Armin Gerhardt (EFiS AG) and dealt with both a review of SIBOS and Euro Finance Week, as well as the current issues and requests from the market. The focus was on the EFiS Jump-Server and the multiple stages of the Blockchain revolution.
Also at the 94th Usermeeting exciting lectures by external experts were planned. Mr Urs Kern of SWIFT gave a presentation on the Name Screening of SWIFT and Mr Christoph Heid (Deutsche Bundesbank) spoke about the further development of the Eurosystem's market infrastructure and the current developments on TIPS and T2 / T2S consolidation.
Also in 2018, there were milestones for EFiS AG. Mr. Matthias Fauth (EFiS AG) gave the attendees an overview of this from SIC Service Bureau in February to SWIFT MST / SEPA in November.
The revision of user access to production systems in the context of cybercrime was a topic of importance to EFiS. Mr. Armin Gerhardt, in cooperation with Mr. Mario Richter (EFiS AG), introduced our variants and presented the improvements.
Mr. Christian Schwinghammer from EFiS Swiss AG spoke about the planned certification as Network Service Provider for TIPS. This is to run under the name EFiSnet.
Finally, Mr. Joachim Berg and Mr. Alexander Ochs (both EFiS AG) presented treasury account management via Blockchain and showed it in practice.
The successful day was rounded off with a get-together and further constructive talks.
