The 96th Usermeeting - a trend-setting event

Despite high temperatures, numerous representatives of the financial sector met again last Wednesday, 26 June 2019, for the 96th Usermeeting to discuss current topics.

The event was opened by Mr. Armin Gerhardt, CEO of EFiS AG. After the greeting, he went into the latest changes within the company structure. In the future, EFiS AG will again concentrate on its original form and will be there for its customers and partners, together with its sister company ABK Systeme GmbH.

Mr. Gerhardt then introduced Dr. Carsten Lehr as a new member of the Management Board. He will join EFiS AG as Deputy CEO on 1 July 2019. Among other things, Dr. Lehr will be responsible for Finance and Human Resources.

The next speaker was Stefanie Stadtmüller from Deutsche Bundesbank. Her topic was the current developments in TIPS and the TARGET2/T2S consolidation, which are currently keeping the financial industry in suspense. BigBang day will be 20/21 November 2021.

A review of the successful migration to the targens product TCM4.6 was given by Mr. Armin Gerhardt. He explained the advantages of the new version and how the first days with the new version turned out.

Melanie Adler, who has been studying at ABK Systeme GmbH for a year now, then made her debut. She very impressively introduced the term GAAFA, how these Big 5 (Google, Amazon, Apple, Facebook and AliPay) differ from each other and, above all, what these services mean for Generation Z.

After the lunch break there was no sign of tiredness. Mr. Andreas Pratz of PwC Strategy& (Germany) GmbH showed the current trends in payment transactions and where future milestones will be set according to surveys. The different reactions of European consumers to mobile payments were clearly visible.

After an ice break, which brought some cooling down and offered more space for networking, Marco Venturella and Armin Gerhardt from EFiS AG presented their impressions of the past GS1 practice day, which was about the topic "electronic invoice".

In summary it was a very trend-setting event with many new impressions and opinions. We thank all participants who contributed to the success of the day and look forward to the next Usermeeting on 10 September 2019 in Dreieich.
